ABOUT US

In its current formula, the Band is one of the most percussive of the French Blues, Soul and Rhythm & Blues scene. It stands out today thanks to a resolutely modern sound but nevertheless anchored in the tradition. It has represented France at the European Blues Challenge in the Azores.

Elise & The Sugarsweets, celebrates today its 5 years of existence. Everyone in the band is still convinced that music plays a huge role in our lives and that it accompanies us in crucial moments, helps us to reach milestones and allows us to push our limits.

After having released 1 EP and 1 album (When The Whistle Blows and It Can't Go Wrong), their new opus has been released in 2022. A new sound and some new collaborations made it one of the great releases of last year.

THE MUSICIANS

Yulia Gubenko

Singing

She has always had a love affair with vibrations and sounds, like listening to the sounds of summer lying in the grass or imitating seagulls at the beach, hearing the sound of gravel under the wheels of her grandfather's bicycle or singing a song with her mother before going to sleep, perceiving the creaking of Siberian snow under her felt-soled boots... She loves this dimension so much that she decided to make it her life, to be creative with vibrations, sounds, harmony, pleasure. ... in short, music.

Olivier Raymond

Guitar

He is a big bearded man with a cap and a guitar. He is impressive by his appearance. When he starts to play, it's his passion for Blues, Soul and his 30 years of breathtaking guitar playing that comes out of his Telecaster. Olivier, creator of the band with the Ferrié brothers, is a passionate kid of 50 years old connected to 100 000 volts.

Bala Pradal

Keyboards

Under his airs of Hitman with smoked glasses and legendary charisma, he is the chief of the ivories. Placid, cold and imperturbable when his hands are placed on his knees waiting for the go, everything changes when he propels them on his Hammond organ. The great guns of Navarone, of course Bala is a recognized expert in the field and you can feel it until you get goose bumps!

Olivier Ferrié

Drums

He comes to make rain the drums in the storm of his tattooed arms. Measuring with confidence the power he gives off. Very at ease with the triple gallop, he knows how to hold a frantic cruising rhythm without ever running out of breath, but he never fails to soften his game when the melody asks him so much he likes to accompany his singer.

Jerome Ferrié

Bass

The bass is piloted with an incomparable tact that takes us with the end of his long sceptre stamped with the acronym "Luthman" to the heart of a kingdom where the groove is king. His style and his moustache are matched only by his sense of tempo and never before has a hand remained locked in a pocket without snapping its fingers!
